 I’m sure if you are not living under a rock, you must have already binged watched ‘The Kissing Booth more than 5 times now. The sequel ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ was released recently on Netflix.

The show managed to become one of the most popular shows of all time and grabbed the trending spot for a few straight.

The sequel was released on July 24, 2020, and since then it has managed to garner a lot of reviews along with some criticism.

“The Kissing Booth 2” is a teen romantic comedy film directed by Vince Marcello, from a screenplay by Marcello and Jay Arnold.

The film is a direct sequel or continuation of the 2018 popular film The Kissing Booth.

The movie series is completely based on the ‘The Kissing Booth’ books written by Beth Reekles. The film has occupied the trending spot on Netflix and became one of the most-watched movies of all time right after its premiere.

The movie starts exactly where the first one left off. The movie begins with Elle narrating the part of her life where Noah leaves for Harvard.

They get into a long-distance relationship and as known, long-distance relationships are risky. The long-distance relationship brings in a lot of insecurities, envy, trust issues, and communication problems.

Here, Elle does not want to be a clingy girlfriend and hence indulges herself in studies. She gets a lot busier with her senior year and usually, she does this to avoid be a clingy girlfriend.

She continues to do so even if that includes ignoring some of Noah’s calls and texts. The movie also showcases the budding friendship between Lee and Elle.

However, soon the growing closeness makes Rachel, Lee’s girlfriend irritated and a little jealous. This lands Lee in an awkward position between his best friend and girlfriend.

Moreover, Elle is jealous and begins to overthink about the growing friendship of Noah and Chloe. Chloe studies with Noah are declared to be ‘just friends’. On the other hand, Elle’s life witnesses the entry of Marco.

Marco is that one hot new entrant who looks out for Elle’s attention and agrees to be her dance partner at a dancing contest. And soon sparks fly between them.

There is a visible spark amazing chemistry between Marco and Elle that adds some excitement for the viewers.

However, the film also brings forward its fair share of sweet, romantic moments.

The question here is- ‘Will Elle be able to resist Marco’s charm and is there anything more to Noah and Chloe’s relationship than what is seen?

Therefore, the film is a typical teen rom-com and has only a few scenes that might interest you.
