How to bake the black magic cake?
- 2 cups-sugar
- 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup- HERSHEY’S Cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk *
- 1 cup strong black coffee
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 12-cup a tube pan, take 2 9 inch baking pans or a one bigger than the usual.
Take the ingredients in a bowl as per the above measurements. Now, stir together the appropriate amount of sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well such that it becomes a thick paste.
Now, add eggs, buttermilk, coffee, oil, and vanilla in the same bowl. Beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes such that you get a thinner batter. Pour batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes for round pans, 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Inserting a wooden stick is the best way to know if your cake is ready.
If the stick comes out clean or does not have any cake stuck on its surface, then your cake is ready!
Now, let it cool for 10-25 minutes. Loosen cake from side of the pan and remove from pans to wire racks. Let the cake cool completely.
