- Painful sexual intercourse and
- Infertility
Pelvic pain during the menstrual cycle or just before your cycle begins is the major symptom of endometriosis. A major percentage of women show infertility or difficulty in conceiving but then it varies from one individual to another.

The treatment of endometriosis is through surgery and medications. Although, treatment through medications may take a long time it is the safest way to get rid of that extra endometrial tissue. The common drugs suggested by the gynecologists are symptom-relieving drugs along with some analgesics or anti-inflammatory drugs. The other drugs prescribed are GnRH drugs and progestins. These drugs promote the release of Gonadotropin hormone and inhibit the excess production of estrogen. Therefore aiding in hormonal balance.
The treatment of Endometriosis through surgery is a useful and effective way to cure this disorder. Laparoscopy is the most recommended surgical procedure. The procedure destroys the endometrial implants in different organs. As much as the surgeries are considered to be effective, there is still a higher chance of developing endometriosis with time.
The doctors suggest treatment through medications.
Endometriosis disappears by itself when the female reaches the menopause stage.
