There are many causes of hives with an estimated 20 percent of the human population suffering from this condition during their lifetime. The majority of the prescribed treatments to cure this condition eradicate symptoms only. As such, once patients use these treatment hives usually re-occur after sometimes.
Hives are welts and wheals, raised pink or white bumps that appear on or beneath the skin and they are itchy. In most cases, hives are harmless but may sometimes be symptoms of something more serious. So if you have had any changes in your skin, it’s always advisable to see your dermatologist. In many cases, hives can block breathing which is a medical emergency. In most cases, they are a harmless bothersome condition. The hives appear and disappear quickly usually within a few hours and they itch allot.
Fortunately, they leave no mark on the skin unless you scratch at them so don’t scratch. In most cases, the standard treatment is with antihistamines. There are various types of antihistamines some of which make you drowsy; these are the ones who want to take at night.

Cold Compress: Take some ice cubes in a cotton cloth and place it on the affected area for about ten minutes, repeat this 3 to 4 times a day.
Warm Water and Baking Soda: Take half a cup of baking soda and mix to your bathtub of warm water; soak it for about 30 minutes.
Baking Soda: Take some water in a bowl; add 2 tbsp of baking soda in it to make a fine paste. Apply the paste on the hives. Leave it as-is for about 10 minutes then wash it off with lukewarm water.
Apple Cider Vinegar: Take 2 cups of apple cider vinegar and mix to your bathtub of warm water; soak it for about 20 minutes.
Oatmeal and Cornstarch: Take some water in a bowl; add 2 tbsp of cornstarch and 2 cups of oatmeal to make a fine paste. Apply the mixture on your hives leave it as it is for about 20 minutes then wash it off with some warm water.
Lemon Juice and Apple Cider Vinegar: Take one glass of water, add 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp of lemon juice and honey to it. Consume this 2 to 3 times a day.
Aloe Vera: Apply some gel on the affected area and leave it as it is for 10 minutes then wash it off with some warm water. Repeat this 2 to 3 times a day.
Ginger: Drink a cup of hot ginger tea 2 to 3 times a day.
Milk and Turmeric: Drink a glass of hot milk mixture with a tsp of turmeric powder. Consume this 2 times a day.
Basil Leaves: Take a handful of basil leaves and crush it and apply on the affected part. Leave it on till dry and wash it off with some lukewarm water.
