1. Breathing exercises-  

Breathing exercises are powerful relaxation techniques that can help ease your body and mind of anxiety and help inculcate positive thoughts. Follow this simple exercise with a few easy steps-
• Inhale slowly through your nose and exhale
• Repeat the above exercise, this time deeply.
• Redirect your mind towards positive thoughts.

2. Root Cause Analysis-

Understand and assimilate the underlying thoughts and problems that are leading yourself to anxiety. Note down the causes of anxiety so that one by one you can combat each at a time. Writing your fears, inhibitions and anxious feelings not only makes you cognizant but also helps you fight the targeted area of anxiety disorder.

3. Fight-or-flight

The following two tasks-
• Solve the problem that is making you anxious
• Control your level of anxiety so that it helps you solve the problem.

4. Use structured problem solving

When faced with difficult life problems, many people do not have adequate coping skills and consequently feel that they are not able to control what is happening to them. These feelings contribute greatly to the development of anxiety.

5. Identify Cause to Effect Relation-

Identifying the cause of your worry and estimating its probable subsequent effect can be used as an aid to cope up with depression or anxiety. If your worry has some basis, but there is nothing you can do about it right now, then see if you can accept the worry and let it go.

6. Practice Yoga

Yoga not only enhances one’s concentration but also helps in aiming towards positive thoughts and meditation.  Use relaxation methods, such as progressive muscle relaxation.

7. Focus on the brighter side

Generally, it is most helpful to simply redirect yourself to focus on something other than your anxiety. Do activities that provoke your anxiety less. Maybe read a book, go for a stroll, listen to some soft music.

8. Give yourself a social media detox

Social media detox is nothing but going off social media for a while. This not only rejuvenates your mind but also gives you plenty of time  on hand  to focus on your positives  rather than comparing your life with peers on social media

9. Talk

This might sound the simplest of all, but indeed a very difficult one. People generally shy away from discussing and confronting their issues. But with time and confidence, a person suffering from anxiety can share his feelings with a trusted individual.  This not only helps the person feel lighter but also at times he finds a solution to his worries through a conversation with an optimistic person.

10. Maintain a healthy regime-

An easy way for you to learn how to deal with anxiety is to create a healthy routine. The fact that you feel better when you’re taking care of yourself isn’t news, but all these healthy habits will ultimately lead to a stress-free and joyful life.

11. Accept-

Apart from all the above steps, at times it’s better to accept the situation. And instead of running away from anxiety, one has to face the dreadful situation. Only then, he emerges as a winner. Not always that we can escape an unwanted situation, sometimes facing it bravely and accepting the triggers of anxiety are the only options viable.
