Acne or pimples are very common. All people hate pimples. They are very ugly. To treat them, you should know the root of your pimples. Pimples still appear if you apply creams and take medication only because you don’t know their root cause.
The most common causes of acne are diet, stress, hormone imbalance, poor sleep, infections, and allergies.
Hormone imbalance is the most common reason for having acne. During your adolescence, estrogen and testosterone flood your body. Cyclical breakouts are also common in teenage girls during the menstrual cycle when estrogen fluctuates. Insulin can aggravate acne by stimulating oil glands. Insulin is produced by the pancreas when we eat but it is produced more when we eat foods high in sugar and refined carbohydrates. When a lot of high-glycemic foods are consumed, insulin levels in the bloodstream go up which stimulates oil production. Insulin has a stimulatory effect on our oil glands and it can also lead to elevations in testosterone. This is how pimples or acne are caused on your skin.
Health is another cause of acne. Toxins in the body are eliminated through our skin, digestive, and urinary system. If your digestive system is not working smoothly then toxins leave through your skin. Many factors can damage your health like food sensitivities, dysbiosis, exposure to inflammatory foods, and lack of digestive enzymes. This can lead to poor nutrient absorption, and inflammation and can cause pimples or acne.
Some of the causes of acne are bacteria, skin bacteria, and digestion. Stress and lack of sleep can also be a reason which can lead to pimples on your skin.
Many Studies indicate that If you consume carbohydrate-rich foods like bread, bagels and chips, they may increase the growth of your acne. Stress also increases the growth of acne.
A Western diet usually consists of high-calorie foods. This increases male hormone secretion and stimulates the sebaceous glands. High levels of Omega 6’s have been associated with an increase in acne in contrast to Omega 3’s which decrease inflammation. If you compare the people who are having acne and those who are without acne then you will find that people with acne were consuming a diet which contains more carbohydrates and sugar. Dairy consumption also causes acne as dairy contains anabolic steroids that promote the increased production of androgens and can lead to the development of acne.
So, these are some of the reasons for your acne or pimples.
