10 Symptoms of Anxiety disorder

Anxiety disorder is one of the most commonly diagnosed mental conditions in the world, and there are many varieties – social anxiety and existential anxiety. Mental health problems such as PTSD and depression can also cause Anxiety disorder.

There are many options to cure your anxiety such as meditation, herbal medicines, and counseling can all be useful for helping to overcome anxiety.

1.Fixation on the future:

Generally, people who constantly worry about their future consciously and even unconsciously are more likely to develop anxiety. This is why anxiety is often called what-if disease. It prevents you from functioning at your best level because you always worry about what would happen.

2.Restlessness:

Restlessness is one of the major symptoms of anxiety. If you find yourself fidgeting, shaking your leg, or unable to keep still especially when you’re not full of energy then it could be a sign that you’re trying to distract yourself from the way that you’re feeling.

3.Difficulty Concentrating:

Anxiety has a tendency to overwhelm your train of thought which prevents a person from concentrating on any work at hand. If you constantly worry about your surroundings or about things happening in your life then it becomes a lot more difficult for you to be aware of what is happening in front of you.

4.Difficulty making decisions:

People with anxiety tend to have a harder time making decisions. This can get quite severe and develop into something known as FOMO, or fear of missing out, in which a person has problems making a single decision because they’re always afraid that they’ll make the wrong decision.

5.Worrying about anxiety:

Worrying about anxiety can be one of the most major symptoms of anxiety. Many people report that they become anxious simply from discussing anxiety, which can make it very easy for their anxiety to become triggered in social situations.

6.Muscle Tension:

Stress and anxiety are two of the conditions that make it most apparent that there is a mind-body link in the human body. People suffering from stress and anxiety are more likely to develop muscle tension from all of the clenching when they are anxious. This can also lead to aches and pains throughout the body.

7.Sweating:

Another physical symptom in people suffering from anxiety is profuse sweating. Sweating can also occur when someone is mentally exhausted- such as when they are anxious. This is because physiological changes in the body can lead to chemical changes which cause a physical response, such as sweating.

8.Short of Breath or Hyperventilation:

One of the other physical symptoms that anxiety can cause is heart palpitations and dizziness, both of which can usually arise from shortness of breath and hyperventilating. One of the symptoms that people commonly report is that when they have a panic attack they have a hard time breathing. This symptom can usually be solved by taking long, conscious deep breaths.

9.Insomnia:

People with anxiety have a hard time getting to sleep, especially when their anxiety is flaring up. Racing thoughts are a trademark of anxiety, and they’re also a trademark of people who have a hard time falling asleep. Anxiety can also manifest as emotional turmoil. Your feelings may simply be too much for you to be able to fall asleep with them. This is especially apparent if a person has something important coming up or if something stressful has happened.

10.Irrational fears:

If someone is suffering from anxiety, he or she may experience irrational fears which might be very specific or very broad. They may fear that they will get hit by a car every time they cross the road. That is very unlikely and fears like these can have a very negative impact on someone’s life.
